The Myth

Homosexuality and other sexual orientations are completely normal and should be viewed no differently than heterosexuality.  Moreover, since those embracing alternative sexual orientations are likely born that way and are powerless to change their preferences and behaviors, their behaviors should be completely accepted and accommodated.  Laws and cultural standards should be revised to provide full accommodation and benefits for their lifestyles.  


The Truth  

Heterosexuality expressed within the commitment of marriage is the only form of sexual expression sanctioned by God's written word.  Alternative orientations and expressions are prohibited.  The Bible makes it clear that we are all born sinful (Romans 3:23), yet we are all commanded to repent of our sins (1 John 1:9).  While it is incumbent upon us to reach out to everyone with love (John 13:34), this does not translate into condoning and codifying sinful lifestyles.
